Our Program
Creative Beginnings Pre-School Academy – Setting Young Minds in Motion
At Creative Beginnings Preschool Academy, we believe in helping our students transform into lifelong learners who are well-adjusted and diligently prepared for any situation. We seek to accomplish this by strategic learning development that is rooted in discovery, and utilizes a myriad of technology-based and offline learning pathways. Each child who has graduated our program for the last 20 years has been more than equipped for the next step of academia. We believe that every child has remarkable potential for accelerated learning, exploration, and creativity. We believe our program consists of the perfect mix of educational enhancement techniques and seasoned personnel to help each child succeed at the highest level imaginable.
Creative Beginnings – Our Program Is Designed to Develop Three Key Areas
The first years of your child’s life are special because great developmental strides are made as your child moves toward independence. Progress is continually evident in your child’s emotional growth, social skills, verbal communication, intellectual awareness, and physical capability. Our program has been designed to nurture the full range of these developing skills and interests in a group setting that maximizes effective teacher to student ratios. Creative Beginnings focuses on three important developmental learning areas: socio-emotional, cognitive development, and physical development. When the right fostering and attention is given to these areas, an integrated and effective developmental approach to learning is achieved.
Creative Beginnings – The Plan for Effective Socio-Emotional Development
At Creative Beginnings, children gain independence and self-control by learning to trust others and by learning the appropriate ways to take initiative while respecting others. They are encouraged to make decisions, use reasoning skills, practice their listening skills, explore their environment, and express, understand and handle their feelings. Children are also guided to expand their attention by choosing to persevere at specific tasks for extended times. We focus on helping young children enhance self-esteem, exhibit positive attitudes and demonstrate pro-social behavior. This is achieved by encouraging children to help each other, teaching them words they can use to express how they feel, and encouraging cooperation in lieu of competition.
Creative Beginnings – Fostering Cognitive and Physical Gross Motor Development
It should come as no surprise that children learn most effectively by doing things. They brains are developing to learn simple concepts as building blocks, then build on them to tackle bigger and more complex tasks and ideas. By using their senses, infants and toddlers discover that certain objects have their own specific weight, volume, color and texture. When preschoolers and kindergartners have spent their earlier years learning these concepts, they can then learn more complex concepts by interacting with a wide variety of materials and with other people.
Physical Gross motor development includes activities like throwing, catching, skipping, climbing and balancing. Though they may not realize it, children are learning many of the mathematical, engineering, and scientific building blocks for their future when they do something as simple as throw or catch a ball, skip to a friend, climb on a jungle gym, or even balance on a walking beam. The environment at Creative Beginnings is designed specifically to provide a safe space, with plenty of the equipment, time, and friends needed to practice these new and developing skills. Mastering physical gross motor skills as a preschooler leads to the ability for growing children to gain outstanding muscle control and coordination as they continue to develop.
